Quality Mic Pre with Colour
Very happy with my purchase, so far used it on Bass & Vocals, there is a massive amount of level up to +65 dB and a great range of features to cover Dynamic mics, Condensers & Ribbons.
It gives weight to Bass and a warmth to vocals when using the Colour control.
There is a 20dB Attenuator to allow line level signals to pass through the preamp and a low impedance switch which covers 1.5k to 300 ohms, the Di Input offers Balanced or unbalanced input with an input impedance of greater than 2M ohms, its a supper value Pre Amp for the money really loving it !

buena compra
tengo 6 previos (economicos) en un launchbox , y este por ahora es el que mas uso para voces de rock por su saturacion (color) que le da mucho caracter . y sin la saturación la verdad que suena muy transparente , con cierta mejoria en los high-ends y low-ends con respecto a los previos de mi RME ucxII. me gusta mucho que tenga entrada DI, es muy practica. el pad se agradece tambien. creo que calidad precio es muy buena opción. aquí aparece una comparación con otros de la misma gama.

Bon rapport Qualité / Prix
Je suis habitué à travailler avec des modules 500 professionnels des marques renommées.
N'étant pas dogmatique, j'ai choisi de testé le Fredenstein Pre Mic dans une chaine audio Fredentsein : Pre Mic + Comme + EQ pour du chant.
Intégré dans une box Lindell Audio, le résultat des tests n'a pas été concluant pour la chanteuse qui à préférée s'orienter vers les plugins de UAD gérés par les interfaces et satellites de Universal Audio.
Il n'en reste pas moins que ce modèle Fredentsein offre de superbes fonctionnalités, à un prix très accessible. C'est un excellent rapport qualité / prix.

Exactly what I needed
A solid preamp with the added value of a color knob. Turning it in half gave the vocals better saturation on the recording. There are certainly better and especially more expensive models, but for the money this is a great choice.

Super cena\jakość
Mam kilka przedwzmacniaczy mikrofonowych w formacie 500. Ten jest najtańszy ale nie widzę dużej różnicy między tym a tymi dużo droższymi. Mam dwa takie i spełniają swoją funkcję w studio. Polecam, szczególnie za tą cenę.

Surprisingly good!
I first used this pre-amp on vocals with an NTK Tube mic and wow! With a small amount of gain and a small amount of the colour introduced it sounded like it was going through a very high end desk. It gave depth and a very silky smooth top end.

It's Great
I think it's a big advantage that you can insert it by changing the op-amp. The op-amp interior also has a fairly high quality and transparent sound. If you turn the color knob, Harmonics is added and it protrudes a little more.

Great little pre, while it worked.
Purchased with the idea of sampling Fredenstein gear. It sat in a Radial Cube with a SSL six and Cranborne Camden.
I've liked it enough to call it a keeper, used it 4 times, a little over a year and a half passed. Tried using it today, it's defective and send scratchy noises at very high level in my interface. Swapped it to another rack, and swapped cables. It still makes noise, even without anything hooked-up to it.
I'm not touching any Fredenstein products ever again.
