Works great
So a little more weight at the base of a microphone stand is good. But it’s even better for a stand with a welded solid base. I use this in my studio alot since it makes the microphone stand so stable. No more wiggle :)

Annoyingly simple
This is really just a longer bolt, washer, and gym weight. It will cost a little more to buy those things individually online and take more time to go to a sport store and hardware store, so this does save a little time and money.
Also, it doesn't really work with the Voyager stand (which needs added weight more than the traditional Manhasset stands) unless you put it above the bottom clamp. This will keep the stand from collapsing down.
As another reviewer described, there is wiggle room unless you make your own spacer (3d print, wood lathe, cardboard, etc.)
This kit is disappointing but works and isn't dramatically overpriced.
