Be careful when buying it
It sounds great on regular bongos, it's really loud, clicky, without too much overtones and it keeps the tune.
But the construction is far from perfect. I thought that due to the same size as the stock one in Luis Conte Bongos it'll fit, but it's not true. The aluminium rim on this head is very narrow in comparison to hide heads and the traditional tuning rim of bongos (made from a single straight slat) was to wide to enfold it. The head rim kept breaking, falling of (!) and it was impossible to tune.
So if you have a drum rim like this consider buying different head.

Bon son, facile à monter, texture un peu "papier".
Je les ai monté sur des bongos Bauer, que j'avais du mal à avoir un aigu claquant, problème réglé avec cette peau. Le seul bémol est une texture un peu "papier" moins agréable que sur mes "nu skin" de conga. Mais fait très bien le job.

GRAN SOLUCION para un LP LPA601-HC Havana Café!!
Los instale en un bongo: LP LPA601-HC Havana Café Bongos que compre aqui mismo en Thomann hace aun par de años. (la talla es absolutamente precisa)
Tenia muchos problemas con los de origen porque al ser de piel de cabra pues la afinación era TERRIBLE cuando había cambios de temperatura y humedad del ambiente. sobre todo si los quieres usar en el verano en el sur de Francia donde le daba uso. hasta 3 pieles tuve que cambiar porque se rompía.
Asi que buscando alternativas sintéticas encontre este Remo y QUE GRAN SOLUCION!!!, por fin desde la primera vez que lo tengo la afinación se mantiene sin importar lo que le pase, frio calor húmedo o seco no importa. esta cosa se mantiene bien.
Vi por ahi de personas que se quejan del material tipo papel pero eso no representó ningún problema para mi ya que en si los de piel de cabra ya son muy ásperos.
Asi que tenga la textura que tenga eso no representa ningún problema.
Realmente se comportan tan bien que tonterías tan mínimas jamás serian factores determinantes para quejarse.
El drumhead funciona sin importar el entorno y es maravilloso.
En cuanto a sonido si, hay un cambio de profundidad ya que el de cabra se sentía mas "cubano" mas de disco antiguo. salido si quieres llamarlo
Este Remo es mucho mas moderno si quieres una comparación pero entra bien en el micro y eso es lo unico que impórta al final.
Asi que si tienes un bongo modelo (LP LPA601-HC Havana Café Bongos) te lo recomiendo de verdad. porque le cabe a la perfección.
