Turn your bass cab into a speed metal monster
I bought two to replace the blown speakers in a used SWR cabinet and it sounds very oldschool, strong midrange, decent high content and very controlled lows. It sounds alright on clean, but it really shines with distorted bass tones, especially if using something hybrid or valve-driven like an Orange Terror Bass 500 or any kind of Marshall.
It's not particularly sub-heavy, and on darker bass guitars the highs can be a bit lacking. If you're after that cleaner, modern sound, consider the Eminence Legend BP102 instead. The Beta-10A is a rock 'n' roll speaker well suited to crunchier and nastier bass tones.
