just bought this stuff a month ago ('25, Dec.) or so from Thomann, and there was an impression to me that the columns/bars seem to light up in a very choppy/jerky manner, that's it doesn't have a flow sense..(and it tends to be even more jerky and fading on the second half of the screen, everything post 630/800/1000hz (depending on sensitivity), bars fade/dissaper too quickly, no flow or hold up, everything up to 800hz is nicer to look at)..didn't even search for any answers, had nothing to compare with, never had any other spectrum analyzer in my life before, yet always was led by the feeling of jerkiness while watching the joyride (midway setup)..accidentally watching some video on youtube proved my suspicions - i'm not the only one, more people experience the same with this updated device (with the red led light on power button)..if they all were the same for the price, then it wouldn't hurt, but now when i know and saw the videos of both (new n old) items playing (and even those that i had watched before purchasing this spectrum analyzer, like on channels "Techmoan" and "LGR Blerbs" this looked like some cool stuff (because it was an old one)), that the older one played more naturally, this leaves a slight feeling of unsuccessful purchase:/..*only setting up sensitivity to the max. saves it a little and softens the situation, making it all less choppy and disappearing..make it midway and it's unpleasant to watch..so it depends, whether you had an analyzer before and have nothing to compare with and if you set it to the max. sensitivity (which softens the negative effect), yet doesn't save the product.
