Gotoh SPBJ-5 Banjo 5th Str. Tuner C

This tuner had one job to do and failed completely. I bought two of these tuners. The first one began slipping in the middle of a gig. I thought the first one was an anomaly, so I just got another one and it now does the same thing. The internal mechanism slips. It’s not about tightening the screw… It slips continuously until there’s a loud cracking sound and it loosens until the string pops off. Twice the same. Humiliating when in the middle of a show and shocking that gotoh has failed so miserably. I use .11 gage 5th strings. It’s not rocket science. Do not buy these tuners! Not worth the risk!
