M
Great entry into Junior style guitar world.
Max.in 24.04.2025
I have been looking for a LP Junior guitar for a long time. I reviewed many other p90 guitars, but I decided to order this one. After waiting for about 3 months for this guitar to be in stock, I finally got it. I hope my review would help you consider this one as your new possible LP Junior guitar.

Out of the box :
Decent set up and almost in tune right out of the box.! All I did was to lower the action a bit and it stayed intonated up to the 22nd fret. I may go to my local guitar shop later for further checkup, but the guitar plays fantastic, as is.

Body and Neck :
This guitar is a basic LP Junior design. The body finish is stunning. I was very pleased to open the box. I found no finish flaws. I am delighted, both body and neck are excellent. Great neck and fret job. Nice contoured heel on the neck, rounded edges on the frets and fretboard. The bone nut is a big plus. Although the neck is a little bit meaty and feels like an old LP junior neck, it is still very comfortable to play without the baseball bat feel.

Tuners :
The stock tuners on it are a bit imprecise, but once there, they hold tuning well. I may change them with the locking tuners in the future. But they do the job for me now.

P90 Pickup :
The pickup is better than I expected. A single blazing P90 with a nice midrange growl. It cleans up well on the volume pot when using a bit of drive. In addition, be careful with the volume knob when you turn it up or down. Dial it in small increments until you find the sweet spot because it is really, (I mean REALLY) responsive.

Weight :
My copy of this guitar weighs exactly 3,4 kg. A little bit heavier than my PRS McCarty 594 Doublecut. I wouldn’t call that light for this type of Junior guitar.

Cons:
If i had to find a “flaw”, what I would say is that it has a little bit of neck dive. Not like in SG level, but some. And a “Belly-cut” would be a nice touch on this guitar.

My final verdict:
Great entry into Junior style guitar world. I play it every day since I got it. Very resonant and fun to play.
If an LP Junior style instrument is of your interest, it is an affordable way of getting a very playable instrument at this price point. You won’t regret it.
