j'ai la guitare depuis deux mois et elle me plaît beaucoup, sa forme et son apparence parlor vintage font vraiment de l'effet et la guitare sonne très bien pour un prix aussi bas. Il y a tout de même quelques petits défauts à cette magnifique guitare:
-La guitare que j'ai reçu n'est pas exactement la même en apparaence sur le site, le manche et le chevalet en bois de ma guitare sont d'un bois plus clair que sur les photos du site.
-Les frettes débordes sur le manche et il faut les limer.
-Le bois des cases du manche et du chevalet ne sont pas polies correctement, la surface est rugueuse et il m'a fallu un petit temps d'adaptation, moi qui était habitué a des cases douces et bien lisses.
Malgré ces défauts, je ne regrette pas du tout l'achat de cette guitare, et surtout pour un prix pareil!!

Ich hatte mir die RPS-7 bestellt als "im Zweifel nicht schade drum"-Gitarre, die man auch mal mitnehmen kann wenn die etwas teureren Schätzchen doch zu schade wären, z.B. Richtung Outdoor etc.
Aber ein bisschen Anspruch hat man ja doch, also war ich drauf vorbereitet, dass ich sie evtl auch wieder zurück schicke. Ich muss sagen: Ich war wirklich positiv überrascht. Die Bundreinheit passt bis in die hohen Lagen. Vom Klang her eine typische Parlor - da darf man natürlich keinen Bums wie bei einer Dreadnought erwarten. Aber genau das finde ich auch toll für knackige Blues oder Folk-Sachen oder auch für Fingerpicking. Meinen Geschmack trifft es jedenfalls.
Klar sollte man sich auch kein Illusionen machen, dass es in der Preisklasse durchaus auch Abstriche in Sachen Verarbeitung gibt. Die Bünde merkt man schon mit ein paar seitlichen Kanten und die Saitenlage ist auch nicht die tiefste. Aber nix, was sich nicht relativ schnell anpassen lässt und mal ehrlich: es ist ja auch ein echt günstiges Instrument.

Love and hate

This is the best to describe it, some days I can't stop playing it and some days I better throw it from the window.
Don't recomend it if you are advanced player, if you are low budget as me, save a little more, is not a bad instrument, is not a bad brand, only need a solid top better.
Somehow will find my way around to get the instrument ready and with a decent sound, finally get this one ready by installing a fishman and using IR's. Ok may sound a little harsh but, laminate and small dont come easily together very well. I really try to like the guitar.
Out of the box, the action was too high, and needed rod adjust, the strings were dull, dead, after correcting all that the guitar is comfortable to play, intonation is ok, is not like a baseball bat, ...almost, but I started with an old mex tele, so I had no prob with wider necks, but the sound is poor, with no sustain, not what I was looking for, but that was my bad
So, go for a solid top, or if you are a beginer and like the look, by all means buy it, it isn't a bad guitar for start but if you need it, don't do it.
Sorry for beeing the grinch, it just didn't fit me, you can think and what do you expect for that price? well, yes, my bad, I just try to be honest

Excellent value for money, great fun to play, will keep it forever

I've been looking into small parlor sized guitars for a while and tried various brands and models. With the return policy in mind I gave the Recording King RPS-7-MBK a try. Once I got it home, unpacked it and played it, it sounded far better than I expected for such a low price. And after changing the factory strings to D'Addario Phosphor Bronze 0.11's and playing it daily for a few weeks it really opened up.

To me it sounds and handles far better than all the Gretsch parlor models I've tested in shops locally and I've tested them all.

I've been playing guitars for almost 40 years and I've never before bought a guitar that was so hard to put down. It is excellent for playing finger style (with or without a thumb pick) and even handles strumming in gypsy jazz or swing style really well.

The only thing that could be improved upon is the action of the guitar. And so I did, by sanding down the bridge saddle on a piece of sandpaper. This was only a few minutes work, anyone can do it.

I might consider upgrading the bridge saddle with a Graph Tech TUSQ Saddle somewhere in the future, but all in all it is a great little guitar as it is.

So, if you are in for a fun little parlor guitar, or just want to add another guitar to your life on a limited budget, I would strongly suggest you give this little gem a try.
