The Horizon III is possibly my favourite "superstrat" shape, slick, not too big, interestigly asymmetric... I Just love it.
The colour is gorgeous, very deep, changing slightly under different light-angles. Not quite as green as in the photos here :-)
This specimen came perfect: well-built, high quality finish, no imperfections or factory errors.
The pickup combination allows for good flexibility, while remaining a perfect metal axe, aggressive and modern sounding.
The neck is a very comfortable thin-U (very similar to a couple C-shape necks I have), slightly thicker than on my other H3-1000 with Floyd Rose.
So, yes, this is my second guitar of the same kind, I already owned a see-thru-black H3-1000FR - I bought a second one because I was very happy with that, but the new one actually exceeded expectations.
Both are great guitars, and this one with fixed bridge will definitely be a keeper, also allowing me to drop on-the-fly - for those interested in the differences:
The H3-1000FR is Made in Indonesia, while this H3-1000 is Made in Korea.
The main differences are how the guitar was built: the indo shows more approximate sanding and pore-filling, with imperfections still visible under the paint, and the finish itself: it has a much thinner finish and its quality is slightly inferior, while the korean has thicker, higher quality and more homogeneous finish.
Also, the korean is thicker and heavier (the indonesian gets progressively thinner towards the outer boundary, though it's the same thickness at neck-body joint... this might be due to the year of production or a one-off thing, no clue).
As mentioned previously, the neck is slightly thicker on the H3-1000, and the frets and fretboard better polished.
